Housewarming Surprise!

Last night we were completely surprised by the staff of Camp Forest Springs!  As is tradition among the staff, whenever a staff family moves into a house, they get together and surprise that family by showing up at their doorstep with a housewarming party in order!  We already had plans with one staff family to have them over for supper last night, and of course they were in on it!  After supper, around 7pm, droves of camp staff starting pouring into our home unannounced!  It was a shock, but so much fun! 

They brought yummy refreshments and really sweet cards full of sentiments and witty rhymes congratulating us on our home. 

We had to read them outloud (or sing them to a particular tune if that be the case) in front of everyone.  It was such a funny experience and we definitely think that was the only time there will be that many people in our home at one time! 

The evening was yet another reminder and demonstration of God’s provision beyond anything we deserve or could ask for.  In the midst of all that is going on, it meant a lot that the staff would choose to come and rejoice with us in this new stage of life.  We give all thanks and praise to our heavenly Father for the good gifts he has given in a home, a community, and in a family of believers.
