OK, so maybe it really isn’t that many “c’s”
We were privileged to host the Wisconsin/Iowa Super Sectional of the CCCA (Christian Camp and Conference Association) this past weekend. Camp staff members from all over Wisconsin and Iowa traveled all the way up to Westboro for three days of fellowship, seminars, training, and rest. Nearly every weekend we host church groups, youth groups, and other organizations, but there is something very special about hosting other camp staff. Perhaps it is the fact that we all are in the same kind of ministry, or that camping takes a certain type of person, but I certainly enjoy getting together at the 3CA events.
This past year I served on the cabinet of the 3CA and coordinated all the technology/media seminars. All of monday we taught a seminar about photography lighting. Tuesday and Wednesday were filled with seminars regarding how camps are able to leverage technology to advance their ministries. There were also a number of other seminars all designed to train and inform the camp staff members.
Walt Mueller was the speaker for the main sessions and he taught us about how to begin engaging with the youth of today.
Along with the training, we were also able to get out and enjoy some of the snow too
