Board Retreat Weekend

This past weekend at camp was a lot of fun.  Once a year camp puts on a retreat for all the board of directors.  It is a great time to get to know all of them and spend some time enjoying one another’s company.  On Saturday afternoon the CFS wives and the Board wives all got together for a chance to fellowship.  One of the staff wives gave a great devotional on pottery.  As she was making a pot on the wheel she reminded us how God so gently and lovingly crafts us.  It is quite a process to get a lump of clay to look like a beautiful, useful object.  It was encouraging to hear the correlation to how God spends so much time shaping me! 

On Sunday the board of directors took the whole staff to a water park near Wausau for an appreciation party.  It was so much fun.  The first time either Jesse or I have been to a water park.  They had 3 giant waterslides that we took advantage of quite a bit.  Don’t worry I checked it out with my midwife before going and she said it was o.k.!  I wish we had taken a picture but one of the waterslides, which many of us named the toilet bowl, was so much fun.  It would shoot you out into this giant bowl where you would go around in a circle a few times before sliding into the end of the slide.  It was alot of fun!
