Is It Time?
Hello all Schutt’s Snapshots readers! I wanted to post the first of several updates over the next few days… Sometime in the night April’s contractions began. They have continued through the night, this morning, and into this afternoon. At 2:30 or so we packed into the car and made the trip over to Wausau.
April has been admitted into the Birth Center. Her contractions have slowed down a bit and so the nurses are having her do some walking. They are hoping that it will get labor moving.
Until then, we are just hanging out in the hospital. Keep checking back for updates!

Home Happenings Update
So the last few days Jesse has been working on re-laying the hard wood floor in the office space (check out the Home Happenings post to see what led up to this project). Tonight he finished putting it together and it looks wonderful. I love the change and it makes our living room make so much more sense.
So the last step to finish this project is to get the carpet laid. Once that is installed (it will replace the teal color you can see in the last picture below) I will post another update so you can see the transformation. We don’t anticipate the carpet getting put in until closer to Thanksgiving. So it will be a little bit before the project is fully finished but I can be patient since in a few days I will have other distractions! Three days to the due date of baby number 2!
Here are some pictures…
Lauren is such a big helper and pitches in on everything we do. Here she is handing daddy some nails!
Jesse installing the floor. Just about half way there.
The finished space, minus the trim. We will not be able to put the trim back up until the carpet is finished.

Working Hard
Yesterday and today we hosted Harvest Christian School for a work project. HCS is a K-9th grade Christian school located in Sandstone, MN.
All these things are true about Harvest:
- I graduated from here in 1999
- My dad is the administrator
- My mother is the secretary
- April and I were teachers here for a year while raising our support
- My sister Katelyn is currently a teacher here
- I currently have 3 brothers that attend this school
So, as you can see, we have some connections with Harvest.
Dad called me a few weeks ago and asked if there would be a project that the older school kids could come help with. I checked into it and found out that we could use some help clearing the area for our new building site.
After our hard work, April and I opened Main Street Cafe for the kids to get some snacks!
It was a fun few days! Thanks to the kids from Harvest Christian School for all your hard work!
