Jesse and I with friends from camp
Just wanted to wish a congratulations to our good friends Chris and Kathy Nathan. They just had a baby girl on the 19th. Her name is Adah Grace. She was 6 pounds 4 ounces ad 19 inches long. We are so happy for you guys!! Jack can’t wait to meet her. 
(and neither can the rest of us).
On Friday evening Jesse and I took Jack down to Jesse’s studio (our basement ) and took some pictures. It is amazing how fast he is growing. At his one week check-up he had already gained 10oz. So we wanted to capture how small he was before he grows too fast!
So to make our good friend Sam feel better, Jesse thought he would brave it and hold Jack without a diaper. So needless to say Jack shot (and I mean shot) poop all over Jesse before the evening was over. Jesse’s sister Hannah was over (to help us take a few pictures both of us were in) and she just died laughing. I thought it was super funny and Jesse just wanted us to hurry and help clean him up. So if that can give you a picture of what happened I hope it does.

As if bringing home a new baby is not enough we thought we would continue to turn our house upside down! But the chaos is over and the projects are done. Yea!! We are really excited about the changes that have happened over the past few weeks. Check out our earlier blogs to see the progress. And now for some pictures…
Here we are. Old carpet and padding torn out. My job was to make sure there were no staples left behind from the padding. Could this be what send me into labor? This was just the day before Jack was born. I’m actually going to blame it on the pineapple we had over at the Hopkins for dinner that night. Thanks guys!

A big thanks to Roy Points for coming over on Tuesday to install the carpet. Here he and Jesse are working on laying it out.
At last new carpet installed!!! Where you see the big shelf in the back on the wall, that is where the wood floor used to be. (again check out our earlier posts to see what I mean)
Here is the view from the other direction. Next step, cover the “beautiful” green chairs!
And here’s so you can see how the hard wood floor that we moved joins into the living room.
We just love the changes that have happened. Maybe next time we won’t do such major things between having a baby, but we sure like the results.
Finally, since we have been home…
Lauren loves her new little brother “Gock”. She just wants to hold him. Thanks to Auntie Hannah for supervising!
