Last weekend was fun with junior highers at camp! Last winter was the first time we had a weekend like this for this particular age group…this year, we more doubled our number of campers and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time!
Here’s a few pics…
February has come and gone so quickly! They Olympics are over and now its time for SPRING !!! (well…my MIND thinks its time for spring) We enjoyed some fun times this month and I’m posting some pictures below. Blessings to you all !!!
We seem to be thawing out…ENTER our house at YOUR own risk!!!!
Andra with fellow CFS staff wife, April. We were bowling with ladies from church.
Tim with Paul, who is working at camp this winter.
Benjamin and Kaylee have both been very curious about the Ski hill this winter. Tim and I decided it might be a good time to introduce them to skiing!! We took the kids out for the first time this week and they both absolutely love it. Tim is a very patient teacher and Benjamin especially did well. Now we need to find a good time to take them again! The weather has been milder the past week, so getting out has been refreshing. Thank you, Lord!!!
January is a busy month here at CFS. We host many retreat groups (on weekends) and school groups (during the week), but my favorite part of CFS during the winter months is Sunday afternoons. Each Sunday, we open the camp to the community. The ski hill and all the other winter sports areas are open for guests to use. This is a real ‘family’ time and a fun time for us as a family as well. Last Sunday, I (Andra) took the kids out to the ski hill where Tim was working. Benjamin was able to tube on the “Big Bend” and the “Bullet”!!! One of the other staff girls took him tubing while Kaylee and I watched him and others having fun on the slopes. I was able to chat with a few of the other parents who were out watching their kids and the common theme of conversation was revolving around how thankful they were for CFS and the wonderful facilities the camp offers. We can only give GOD the credit for that! I am continuously blessed by being a part of this ministry!! Hearing others speak positively about their time at camp really makes me feel so good about us being here…being a part of the ‘team’ that serves God by serving others in this wonderful spot in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Below are some pictures of Winter…Plan a visit to see us, and CFS first chance you get!
