Summer was fabulous.  Great Staff.  Great Campers.  Great Food.  Great Fun.  AND GREAT Memories made.
Tim and Wilderness crew seemed to really get along well this year—-trip leaders were really a good team and hosted lots of trips.  I don’t know the exact numbers, but it was enough to keep everyone hopping all Summer long!  Its September now, and things are slowing down—-well, until tomorrow when Tim leaves on another trip with the LTD students to the Flambeau River.  smile

Ben went to camp this summer for the first time as a camper.  They offer a Day Camp for younger kids and its just a perfect way to introduce little ones to camp—without their parents!  He had a great time and his favorite things were Air Riffles, Archery, and Sling Shots!  (Scary thought, huh?  I’m glad I wasn’t there for the action…the protective Mom in me still doesn’t like when my kids play with anything sharp…or hard…or that could potentially take out an eyeball!)

Al little high ropes action…When Tim isn’t directly needed for Wilderness Adventure things, he often times can be found up on the right ropes course!  A couple weeks ago at family camp, there was a group that he took up on the course for the afternoon.  One of the ladies in his group was really scared and totally out of her element.  (as most people are!)  After it was all over and we were at dinner, she came up to me and told me how great Tim was with her on the course, and how he was so patient and reassuring to her that she would be able to make it!  Okay, so as his wife, that totally just made my day to hear someone else appreciate him the way she did.  I married a good one.  There’s no doubt about it!  smile

Moving right along to Bible School!!!  The Theme this year was Danger Island.  The kids were taught how to trust in God to help them with the big things and the small things too!

This Summer’s camp theme was “Like a Tree…”  So as part of our theme, there was a big tire swing put in one of the trees at camp.  Kaylee especially enjoyed the swing.

Thats all for now!  School started last week and now we are into our Fall routines…loving the seasons of change…seasons of life…seasons of Camp Forest Springs.

Hi Friends!
The Month of March has been crazy busy… I suppose you could say “March Madness” means more for us than just basketball!!! smile
I (Andra) and 2 other ladies from our church, drove up to a beautiful bed and breakfast up in Ashland, Wisconsin.  We took the whole day and stamped and made cards and just had a wonderful time.

We had a Progressive Dinner at church this month, and we hosted the Salad at our house!  49 people came and it was a great time of fellowship.

Tim and several other staff attended a CCCA conference at Lake Geneva Youth Camp down in the southern part of the state.  It is always an encouragement to spend time with others who are serving the Lord in camping ministries in Wisconsin.
We also just got home from our annual Missionary Staff retreat up at Fort Wilderness, near Rhinelander, Wisconsin.  Fort Wilderness is a wonderful camp and we were spoiled by their staff this past week, as we retreated, and had meetings, and gathered ideas for the upcoming year.  Tim and I were excited to be there, as this was our first official year on staff at camp.  We shared our ‘story’ of how God brought us to CFS.  What a fun time!!!  We look forward to what God has planned in the years to come at CFS.

When we left Fort Wilderness, Tim and I decided to take a trip north up to Watersmeet, Michigan.  Tim spent 2 years there at the Northwoods Conference Center when he was in the ALERT program.  This is where he learned all his construction and carpenter skills!!!  We were able to see his old dorm room, and enjoyed taking in the marvelous scenic views that surrounded the property.
