6:00 A.M. Update

Thanks to all who have been praying for Julie as she has been in labor for 22 hours now and counting. At 6:00 a.m. she was measuring in at 6 centimeters and still consistent hard contractions.  Julie asked for an epidural at 5:45 a.m. as she was totally exhausted and didn’t feel she could continue under current circumstances.  The lady who does the epidural (having a hard time spelling on 30 minutes sleep) just left and Julie is resting comfortably.  They went ahead and started her on Oxytocin to help speed up the process a bit.  They are hoping by or around 9:00 a.m. to be delivering baby.

Last night she was really doing good with contractions being 90 seconds apart for over three hours.  Then around 9:30 she had to lay down for her antibiotic’s and she was down for about an hour to an hour and a half.  Everything slowed down then and although the contractions have been strong, very inconsistent and very spread out.

On a side note: Julie is really excited today because despite the long process she has already been through, the nurse she had yesterday when we started, she is back again this morning.  Julie really liked having her yesterday and will no doubt enjoy having her for delivery.

Will continue to keep the website updated as information is available but it should be soon.
