One night a father overheard his son pray: Dear God, Make me the kind of man my Daddy is. Later that night, the Father prayed, Dear God, Make me the kind of man my son wants me to be.
Quote for the week taken from an anonymous person.
Simon Loves Tractors
From the day Simon was old enough to say the word he has loved tractors. It could be a boy in him I don’t know but either way, if he see’s one, he yells for it. If he hear’s one he yells for it. I sometimes think he can smell them coming because he already knows where it is before you even have a chance to see it. A treat for Simon then is being able to go on hay rides at camp. This summer we were averaging about two a week, one at the beginning and one at the end. Once he thought we should just go for a hayride over and over and never go home. Simon also loves just sitting on the tractor at the mini farm.

Prolonged car wash
Simon loves to use the hose and he loves his dads truck so tonight we combined the two and washed the truck. Needless to say it took a little bit longer than normally should but we had a good time while we were doing it.
Simon loves to spray even though dad isn’t ready for him to.
Simon’s First Ice Cream Cone
Now Simon has had ice cream before (he is part Tarp after all) and loves it. This last week Julie bought a box of cones and some ice cream so he could have some special treats at home. He loves it although he only eats the rim of the cone before he announces he is all done. Of course it also means who ever is helping him gets to eat the rest. Of course it is usually a little soggy by then.
Simons Special Time with Grandpa Tarp
Simon here: after mommy took me and my brother to the pool, we went to Grandpa and Grandma’s house in Platteville. We got to explore and watch the cows in the field. Mom took us to another pool in town with some friends of mommy and daddy’s. One of my highlights though was picking strawberries with Grandpa. Grandma grows them but Grandpa and I picked them. Strawberries are the best but there extra sweet right off the plant.
Thanks Grandpa (and Grandma of course).
