Buying A House

Julie, Simon and I are happy to announce we are buying a home. We have to give total credit to how God works as only He can.
On July 12th, 2007 we went to an auction with the intention of bidding on a home in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. At the end of the auction, we had the high bid and the family accepted it. After a few moments of sweating it out, they announced we were the ones buying the house.
We haven’t made it official on the website because we wanted to be sure we had a closing date set first. The bank called today and we will be closing next Friday, August 3rd. After cleaning the carpets and possibly doing some painting, we hope to be moved in by the 12th of August.

2007 Golf Classic

June 30th, 2007 Marked the 5th Annual Camp Forest Springs Golf Classic at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Matt had the opportunity to golf (middle picture) with the President Dick Angelo (second from right) , and his two trusty side kicks, John Windle (far right) and Matt Hoffland (second from left). Golfing this year was definitely a new experience for me (second time ever) but the weather was tremendous, the company even better.
Thanks for the pointers gentlemen!

It’s a Boy !
On Wednesday June 20th Julie, Simon and I went to Marshfield for Julie’s Ultrasound. We decided this time around to find out what we were having and ITS A BOY !.
Simon will be a big brother to a brother and we can tell he is excited to have someone to play with——-he just doesn’t know it yet.

Like a fresh coat of Paint !
Julie has been working on reupholstering a chair for what seems like months (hasn’t been too long) but she was able to spend the entire day today working towards finishing the chair. It looks great and I know will serve our family for years to come as it has served others in her family for years past. Maybe when you come to visit you will have the opportunity to sit in the “too comfortable to read ‘cause you’ll fall asleep chair’.

First Fathers Day
For those of you who were already fathers before yesterday, you may not relate. However, to those who have had a child since fathers day last year you will understand the joy of celebrating your first. It has been a year of first’s. First baby, first reasonable reason for your wife to wake you up in the middle of the night (besides to tell you she heard something), first words (dada), first crawl, and yesterday, first fathers day. Doesn’t get any better than spending the afternoon with your son, grilling pork chops on the grill, playing crawl around the post in the dining room, entertaining each other with a Cool Whip container and mom’s measuring cups (no they didn’t get washed before they were put away - but that’s okay right) and watching as he falls asleep in the bend of your elbow. Simon and I had a great day together as mom headed to camp to assist the nurses with youth camps first week of registration. I am sure we will have many more first’s together and I can’t wait to see what they all provide but in the mean time, it’s just great to have experienced my first fathers day.
