The Before Porch

This fall has been unbelievably nice- so I’ve been painting our porch and the myriad parts that go with it.  In case you wonder, you can paint for three days solid before you actually start to lose your mind…  I am painting the spindles white with six small bands of color to add that “big bang for teensy dollars” effect.  I hope the tax assessor catches that “teensy dollars” part.  I actually shifted and coaxed the morning glories out of my way to the chagrin of all onlookers.  Some because they were being abused in the process, and others because I wasn’t just whacking the weeds down to get the most integral paint job.  (but blue morning glories are my favorites…!) My goal is to finish by halloween- I’ll keep everyone posted.
