Anyone plant seeds faithfully every early spring, only to bury- I mean plant- the root-bound victims meticulously in their early graves before the first frost? Yeh. Then we dutifully buy plants from the plant guy. Why do we do that !?!?
He is Risen, Indeed! We love saying that at our house in the days leading up to Easter. This year Dave had the amazing privelidge of delivering the sermon at church this Easter. I wish you could have heard him! My eyes were moist with wonder as I considered how God has grown him in the fifteen years we’ve been married. Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
We spent a lovely spring (yes, it was 53 degrees!!!!) afternoon at the home of friends where seven families gathered for a cookout. We had a wonderful time fellowshipping and being “family.”

Wednesday before Easter, we all trekked to Wausau to put Carter on a plane to his east-coast-grandparents’ house in Connecticut. It was his first solo flight and he was characteristically full of nervous excitement, and had been for weeks. I was excited, too, as I have needed a break from his over-the-top approach to life. We will all miss the master of high drama for three weeks before he drives back home with Nana and Poppy who will be across the street for the summer.
