Harvest Home Farm - It’s a girl!

An unexpected surprise happened yesterday - in the midst of daily chores Mike looked up the hill in one of the pastures to find a must smaller version of the Scottish Highlanders cow in the herd.

It was an all day event for the family but the Poulos’ are very pleased.

The background story of this little one has lots of details - but the short version is that the calves grandmother is taking much better care of her than the actual calves mother. Friends of Mike and Becky have come over and were of great help trying to get the original mother to do the nursing. As of last night, we are bottle feeding but our hope is that the mother will take up her responsibility soon. If you think of it - pray for the little one - she’s a cutie

The last two days I had a great opportunity to attend a Beth Moore conference in Green Bay, WI with 11 ladies from my community along with 9,000 women in the audience. The theme of the conference was on the “Desires of your Heart” along with the passage from Proverbs 37:1-9. I am still processing much but God is working on my heart of what it means to delight in Him.

Harvest Home Farm - Nursing Home Visit

Michael and I spent a morning at a local nursing home. We had an opportunity to tag along with Mike and Becky and the kids to participate in a 4-H project. Besides the family; Lizzy the rabbit, Reily the lab, Ridge the (puppy) border collie, some cats, and a lamb were all a part of our visit. The residents really enjoyed handling the animals as well as the 4-H’rs enjoyed showing them. There were smiles all around
